FAIRBORN — Edwin James Reynolds, 79, passed away on 16 March. Ed grew up in Chippewa Lake, OH, and was a 1952 graduate of Westfield HS. He then enlisted in the US Air Force, where he served for 21 years, including one tour in Vietnam, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. Among other military decorations, he was awarded the Bronze Star and Soldier's Medal for heroism. From 1982 to 1993 Ed and his wife Carmen owned/operated Alterations Unlimited in Fairborn, OH, where they provided military clothing alterations for Wright-Patterson AFB personnel. He and Carmen then relocated to the McAllen, TX, area where they lived their retirement years. Ed was preceded in death by his wife Carmen, sons Mike and Dave, parents Russell and Alma Reynolds, and brother Bill. He is survived by his wife Virgie Harper Reynolds, sons Rick and Ed, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, brother Tom, and sisters Linda Reynolds Hange and Cindy Reynolds Miller. A memorial service will be held at Grand View Memorial Park, Pasadena, TX, at 11am on 29 March.
