XENIA — Harry C. Lemon, 89, of Springfield, died Saturday January 25, 2014 in his residence. He was born February 5, 1924 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, the son of Earl and Bessie (Gabbert) Lemon Sr. He served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. Survivors include one daughter Toni Engle of Springfield; son Steve Lemon of Springfield; sister Nancy Diamond of Xenia; three grandchildren, Tony Engle, Ann Margaret Frederick and Cole Frederick. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Margaret C. Lemon; sister Mary Francis Droege and brother Earl Lemon Jr. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday January 29, 2014 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Littleton & Rue Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dwight McCormick of Northminster Presbyterian Church officiating.
