XENIA — Roy M. Montgomery, 62, Xenia, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014, at his residence. He was born July 29, 1951, in Springfield, the son of Lewis W. and Jacqueline Kleiman Montgomery, Jr.. ,He is a veteran of the US Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam Era, and retired from Montgomery Insurance and Investment Agency, as a licensed certified financial planner, graduate of Wright State University. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #668. He is survived by a son, Jason LeSourd and daughter, Sarah Auckland, both of Sammamish, WA., three grandchildren, Nolan Scelzi, Beckett Auckland, and Tessa Auckland, three sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary (Kenton) Duley, Xenia, Rose (Edward) Platia, Chevy Chase, MD., and Jean Montgomery and partner, Cathy Sewell, Xenia, nieces and nephews, Matthew (Ashley) Duley, Beth (Chris) Pollock, Christina (David) Chroniger, Alex Platia, and Jasmine (Chad) Garcia,, and great-nieces and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Mark Montgomery. Contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box, 758517, Topeka, KS. 66675. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm Monday, April 7, 2014, at the Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, Oh. 45385. Services will follow at 7pm.
