XENIA — Ruth Helen Moore, 94, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and former resident of Xenia, OH and member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 in Brentwood, CA. She was born to the late Grace and Paul Miller, December 26, 1919, in Elyria, OH and graduated from Galion High School in 1937. She was preceded in death by son Ralph E. Baney, Jr; son David B. Baney; husband Albert L. Moore (April 29, 2008); husband Gaylord L. Pletcher (November 17, 1988) and brother Robert E. Miller, Sr. Ruth is survived by sister Alice (Fred) Johnston of Brentwood, CA; daughter-in-law Wanda Baney of Kansas City, MO; son Philip Baney of Perry, MO; 2 stepdaughters Juanita (Bob) Ferguson of Xenia, OH and Jen Pletcher of Alexandria, VA; stepson Terry (Barb) Moore of St. Louis, MO; sister-in-law Mary Jean Miller of LeCanto, FL. She also is survived by 8 grandchildren: Sherri L. Baney (John) of Lawson, MO; Shawn A Baney (Lisa) of Lawson, MO; Casey Baney of New Jersey; and 5 step-grandchildren: Mike Ferguson (Kim) of Spring Valley, OH: Mark Ferguson (Ladonna) of Xenia, OH; Terri Lynn Charles (Don) of Xenia, OH; Wendy (Neil) Hershey of Ladue, MO; Marty Johnson (Eric) of Glen Carbon, IL; 17 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Throughout her life, Ruth was very active in the church and served on the Board of Directors of Holy Land Ministries. For over three decades, Ruth served as missionary to Jerusalem, Palestine and was instrumental in the creation and maintenance of a medical clinic and school in Hebron. A skilled photographer and journalist, Ruth will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Services will be at 10:00AM, Tuesday, April 29 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 990 Old Springfield Pike, Xenia, OH. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00PM Monday, April 28 at Neeld Funeral Home 1276 N. Detroit Street, Xenia, OH.
