XENIA — Alfred Rodney Glenn, age 61, of Xenia, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Greene Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Rodney was born March 28, 1957, in Springfield, Ohio; the son of Marvin and Meckaela (Bent) Glenn. He is preceded in death by his parents. Rodney is survived by his loving wife, Angela K. (Trout) Glenn, whom he married July 30, 1982; their son and daughter-in-law: Steven and Shannon (Stills) Glenn of Xenia; grandchildren: Tyson, Torey and Treyston Glenn; siblings: Sharon (David) Perry; Darrell (Kim) Glenn; Marvin II (Barbara) Glenn and Marva Jean Motley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, a large extended family and many friends. Rodney graduated from Yellow Springs High School, Class of 1975; proudly served in the US Army and retired from the Greene County Sherriff's Department. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and loved being the "Best Papaw" to his 3 grandchildren. He will be remembered by his family as the greatest husband, father and papaw. Memorial services will be held 5 PM Thursday, July 19, 2018 at McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc., 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with Rev. William L. Harden officiating. A Gathering for his family and friends will be held 3-5 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
