XENIA Avis Miller Frauenknecht, age 99, formerly of Xenia, Ohio, died on October 3, 2013 in St. Elizabeth's Home in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, where she lived near her daughter, Annette Cox. She was preceded in death by husbands Charles Frauenknecht and Errette Seslar, son Keith Seslar, sister Marcelle Long Glass and half-brother Dale Miller. She was born in Jeffersonville, Ohio, the daughter of Adam and Ursula Horney Miller. She is survived by her children Kay Weaver of Leonardtown, Maryland, Max Seslar of Irasburg, Vermont, Annette Cox of Warwick, Rhode Island, Carole Cannava of Mission Viejo, California, step-son Ed Frauenknecht of Lebanon, Ohio, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and nieces Marilyn Long and Judy Craig of Jeffersonville, Ohio.
Avis was formerly a member of the North Side Christian Church, Xenia, Ohio, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School; the William Horney Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution; Xenia Garden Club and Sweet Adelines.
Visiting hours and funeral service will be on Monday, October 7, 2013, at Morrow Funeral Home, 41 South Main Street, Jeffersonville, Ohio. Visiting hours will be from 11 -1 with funeral to follow. Keith Little, minister of the Jamestown Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Jeffersonville, Ohio.
