JAMESTOWN David Ross Earley Sr., age 85, went to be with the Lord on March 12, 2013 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Earley was born on January 20, 1928, in Terre Haute, IN. He was baptized and received the Lord into his life. Earley grew up in Terre Haute, and as a young man moved to Dayton, OH to live and work with his Uncle. In 1948 he relocated to Xenia, Ohio with his wife Mildred (Hoskins) Earley. Earley attend school in Terre Haute, IN. He was a retired Union Carpenter. He had been ill over the last year and a resident of the Liberty Nursing Center in Jamestown. After his retirement he donated his time and skills to Habit for Humanity, where he helped to provide affordable housing for many in the local area. Earley is survived by his children Yolanda Earley, of Columbus, OH; David R. Earley Jr. of Jamestown; Thomas Earley, Robert and (Shyla) Earley both of Xenia, OH and Marsha (Earley) Gantt of Oklahoma City, OK. Sisters Mrs Hattie Ivory and Mrs. Wanda Moore both of Phoenix, AZ. grandsons, Darrick, David Jr., Robert Earley, Jr.; granddaughters, Clarissa, Rhonda, Kyle ; Sisters Mrs Hattie Ivory and Mrs. Wanda Moore both of Phoenix, AZ. and a host of nephews, niece relatives and friends. Services will be held Saturday 1:00 pm at the Powers Funeral Home in Jamestown where friends may call from 12 noon until time of service.
