XENIA Janet M. Lesher, 97, of Xenia, formerly of Spring Valley, passed away Sunday morning, February 17, 2013, at Liberty Nursing Home. She was born February 25, 1915, in Spring Valley, the daughter of Arch and Bertina Mae Gartrell Copsey. She was a member of the Spring Valley United Methodist Church, Spring Valley ACTS and the New Burlington Chapter #363, O.E.S. She retired as postmaster at the Spring Valley Post Office after 25 years of service. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Charlene Queary, Bellbrook, grandchildren, Robert D. (Sheri) Queary, II, Julie Harrison, Gina (Owen) McHugh, Dennis Queary, Bret (Joy) Queary, and Michelle (Brent) Blackburn, fifteen great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Dorothy (John) Hazuga, Auburn, CA, by numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Sylvia "Sudie" Macduff, a nephew, Philip Copsey, and by many close friends, including best friends forever, Barb and Harry Woolard. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Robert Queary, her second husband, William E. "Bill" Lesher, on December 19, 2003, a daughter, Carol Queary, two sons, Robert Dale Queary, Sr. and Donald A. Queary, a daughter-in-law, Joyce Queary, two sisters, Laura Hartsock and Eleanor Laughlin, and by a brother, Philip Copsey, and by a nephew, Jerry Hartsock. Janet will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Spring Valley Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
