BEAVERCREEK Sister Joanne Allen, age 57, of Beavercreek, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, September 25, 2013. Sister Joanne was born July 2, 1956 in Anna, Illinois, the daughter of Rev. Joe and Rev. Wilma (Ackley) Lentz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her baby sister: Cynthia Lentz.

She graduated valedictorian from Egyptian High School in Tamms, IL She and her husband were Co-Pasters of the Safe House of Worship in Riverside, OH. She had played the piano, sang and served the Lord since she was 16 years old.

She is survived by husband: Pastor Desi W. Allen, whom she married November 25, 1978; daughters: Heather (Bryan) Tyree of Bear, DE; and their children: Tristan, Bryce, Cayden and Aderah; Desha (Brian) Rose of Dayton, OH; and Paige (Jonathan) Elam of Beavercreek, OH; and their children: Sammy and Vinny; sisters: Pat Orsburn (John O'Connor) of Tamms, IL; Joyce (Martin) Huff of Cincinnati, OH; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 7 PM Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at AHOP, 282 Stelton Road, Xenia, with Pastor Mark Maynard, Pastor Richard Blevins; and Sister Edna Wagers officiating. Interment will be Thursday in Alto Pass Cemetery, IL. Friends may call Monday from 5-8 PM at AHOP and again Tuesday immediately prior to the service at the church.
