XENIA Richard Glenn "Dick" Trotter, 83, of Xenia, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, to await his family when they will all be together again in Heaven. He was born July 25, 1929, in Genoa, Nebraska, the son of Glenn E. and Maude Dodd Trotter. He was a member of Xenia Nazarene Church and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife Joanna (Mays) Trotter of 62 years, whom he married, June 9, 1950, three daughters and sons-in-law, Amy (Neil) Gravel and Susan Brown, of Xenia, and Sherry (Steve) Brown, Cedarville, a son, Gregg Trotter (fiancée, Terri) Mount Juliet, TN, nine grandchildren, Joel Evans, Aaron Gravel, Joanna Gravel, Chase Trotter, Stevi Brown, Ethan Brown, Dustin Trotter, Landon Trotter, Madison Trotter, and Alex, four great-grandchildren, a sister, Patty Cox, Indianapolis, IN, a brother and sister-in-law, Darrell (Moni) Trotter, Anderson, IN, several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarah McVey. Dick's impact on his family, his church, his friends, and more importantly his Lord, will never fade. Services will be held at 3pm, Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Xenia Nazarene Church, 1204 W. Second St., Xenia, with Rev. Mark Atherton officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm Friday at the church. Contributions may be made to Xenia Nazarene Church, c/o Missons, 1204 W. Second St., Xenia, OH, 45385. Condolences may be made to the family at "Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot Heal" and "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants" Psalm 116:15.
