XENIA — Robert (Bobby) Jackson Palmer Sr. of Xenia OH passed away February, 14 2014, peacefully at his home. Bob was born in Washington DC in 1956 and lived in Xenia OH, most of his life. He graduated from Greene Joint Vocational Center in auto mechanics. Bob worked hard as a construction foreman and was admired for the work he accomplished by his employers. Bob proudly served in the military, in the US Navy on the USS Franklin D Roosevelt on its last voyage. He was preceded in death by his, grandfather Winfield C. Aub, former wife Roxanna Kettleheck, his father Jack Palmer and Brothers Rodney Palmer and Steven Palmer and most recently his companion Sharon Goldsberry. Bob is survived by his mother Carol Weber, Sister Connie (Weber) LaPlante (and Guy LaPlante) and Brother Herbert Weber. Also, Bobby is survived by his children, Sara (Palmer) Young, grandson Lydel Young and son Robert (BJ) Jackson Palmer Jr., and many family members. Bob Jack enjoyed many things in his life, most recently building decorative music boxes, collecting VW bug memorabilia, collecting quartz rocks and visiting with friends and family. He had the ability to 'fix' anything, from a broken car to an electronic clock. He loved working with his hands and figuring out how to make things better. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandson over the last 2 years, giving holy of himself. Bob will be missed for his ability to carry a conversation and most especially for his caring, loving ways towards his family. The memorial service will be held Saturday, February 22, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Glory Ministries 880 Hoop Rd. Xenia, OH 45385. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations.
