XENIA Scott A. Curtis, 52, of Leesburg and formerly of Xenia, passed away Friday evening, January 11, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 24, 1960 in Xenia, the son of Robert Frederick and Barbara Jane (McLain) Curtis. Scott graduated in 1979 from the Greene Vocational School and served in the US Army. He was a retired lineman/electrician, member of AA, IBEC Local 71, enjoyed grilling out, rock and roll, golf and his newer hobby of gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Penny J. (Henderson) Curtis, daughter Brittany Curtis and granddaughter Karsyn Hinds, son Scott E. (Bridget) Curtis and grandson Gaige Curtis, siblings, Bonnie (Pat) Sturgeon, Suzy (Mike) McGatha, Barbara (Terry) Davis, Brian "Chip" (Cindy) Curtis all of Xenia, Robin (Doug) Roark of New Lebanon, other family members and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4PM Wednesday January 16, 2013 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 287 West Main Street, Xenia with Pastor Alicia Nierman officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 2PM until time of services. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc. Xenia, Ohio.
