FAIRBORN — Stanley Peyton, 90, of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, in the Hospice of Dayton. He was born Sept. 2, 1923, in Morgan County, Ky., the son of the late Eli and Lula (Crouch) Peyton. Stanley retired form General Motors in 1981 after 34 years of service. He was a longtime member of Enterprise Baptist Church in Fairborn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Ernie, Cletus, William and Kenneth, and three sisters, Mae Linden, Marie Miller and Myrtle Peyton. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy; two sons, Joe Peyton (and fiance Kim Meyer) of Sylvania, Ohio, and Gregory (Christine) Peyton of Fairborn; six grandchildren, Taylor, Lindsay, Grant, Olivia, Jolene and Michael; a brother-in-law, Ronald Miller of Texas, two sisters-in-law, Margaret Dalton of Centerville and Myra Becraft of Frenchburg, Ky., as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hospice of Dayton for their loving care. A visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, from 5-7 p.m. in the Enterprise Baptist Church, 1614 Stewart Boulevard, Fairborn, where the funeral service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 11 a.m. Pastor Garnet Mullins officiating.
