USAF MSgt. Floyd E. "Fergie" (Ret.) Ferguson

FAIRBORN USAF MSgt. (Ret.) Floyd E. "Fergie" Ferguson, age 92 of Fairborn, passed away Tuesday April 30, 2013. He was born April 16, 1921 in Mitchell, Indiana. Floyd served his country in the US Army during World War II and followed with service in the US Air Force during Korea and Vietnam, retiring at the rank of Master Sergeant. He followed with employment by the US Postal Service, retiring after over 44 years of combined federal service. He was a life member of American Legion Dignam-Whitmore Post 526 in Fairborn and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Presque Isle, Maine. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carmen S. Ferguson in 1997. He is survived by his wife, Lorine; three sons, Daryell (Mary) Ferguson of Grand Forks, ND, MSgt. (Ret.) Michael (Diane) Ferguson of Fairborn, Delwyn "Butch" (Sallie) Ferguson of Fairborn; a daughter, Juanita Woloshyn of Winnipeg, Canada; step-children, Allen (Margaret) McCloud of Wylie, TX, Billy (Deborah) McCloud of Leander, TX, Darrell (Melisa) Clark of Fairborn; grandchildren, James Ferguson, Diane Ferguson, Jodi (Ferguson) Newsome, Kimberly (Bagwell) Hinkle, Dr. Scott Ferguson, Marc Ferguson, Matthew Ferguson, Andrew Ferguson, Christopher Ferguson; many great-grandchildren; and numerous other extended family. The family will receive friends on Sunday May 5, 2013 from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral service will be held on Monday May 6, 2013 at 1:00 P.M., Pastor Craig Fourman officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Byron Cemetery. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Dayton VA Hospice Fund.
