XENIA — Richard E. "Dick" Bullen, age 91, of Xenia, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Greenewood Manor in Xenia. He was born at home, the son of Ralph and Anna (Reeves) Bullen in New Burlington, Ohio on May 6, 1922. Dick owned and operated a coffee shop in Yellow Springs, Dick & Tom's. He graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1940 and proudly served in the US Army from 1943-46. He was an avid hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Barbara Jane (Figgins) Bullen; a brother, Robert W. Bullen and a sister, Mildred Thomas. He is survived by his daughters: Judy (Steve) Emig of Spokane, WA; Patti (Sam) Walden of Xenia; and Barb (David) Puckett of Jamestown, OH; sons: Richard Jr. (Barb) Bullen of Dallas, OR; David (Diana) Bullen of Portland, OR and Barry (Cindy) Bullen of Vancouver, WA; 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, February 22nd at Glen Forest Cemetery, Yellow Springs, with Rev. Chuck Graf officiating. All family and friends are welcome.
