WILMINGTON — Dale W. Davis, 77, of Wilmington, Ohio died 3:50 PM, Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Clinton Memorial Hospital. His wife, Barbara Stingley Davis, survives. They were married March 21, 1964. Mr. Davis was born September 21, 1936 in Clinton County, Ohio, son of the late Vernie Ray Davis and Ruth Puckett Davis. He received his bachelor's degree from Wilmington College. He attended Antioch University for his graduate studies. Mr. Davis was a schoolteacher for 30 years. He retired from Beavercreek High School. Mr. Davis also retired from the United States Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant after 37 years of service. He logged over 10,000 hours and flew out of Clinton County Air Force Base, Rickenbacker Air Force Base, and finally Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. He currently drove for Bush Leasing, and had done so for the past 18 years. Mr. Davis loved traveling, watching the History Channel, watching Jeopardy, and playing on his Kindle. In addition to his wife, Mr. Davis is survived by a son, Brett Davis of Wilmington, Ohio; two daughters, Pamela Walker of South Carolina and Cindy (Scott) Goldizen of Kentucky; a brother, Darrell (Linda) Davis of Pennsylvania; a sister, June Walker of Minnesota; four grandchildren, Lee Huffman, Cassi (Carl) Kilpatrick, Angela Davis, and Abigail Goldizen; and five great grandchildren, Cory Huffman, Drew Huffman, Beth Huffman, Reilly Kilpatrick, and Reagan Kilpatrick. In addition to his parents, two grandchildren, Crystal Huffman and Michael Walker, are preceded in death. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Reynolds-Smith Funeral Home, 327 N. South Street, Wilmington, Ohio with Nancy McCormick officiating.
