XENIA — David C. Hilliard, age 70, of Xenia passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. He was born May 26, 1943 in Clarktown, Scioto County, Ohio, the son of Cecil and Opal (Grizzle) Hilliard. David was a US Army Veteran, serving 6 years with the MP Corps in Korea and Germany. He was a member of the American Legion Post 95, Foody Cornwall in Xenia, the Sons of the American Revolution, Cincinnati Chapter, and member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Xenia. He retired from Accustar Division of Chrysler Corp in Dayton after 33 years of service. David married Carolyn Morrow Hilliard on June 27, 1964 in Portsmouth, Ohio and were preparing to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary this summer. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son: Bryan D. Hilliard of Columbus, OH; daughter: Julia ( Curtis) Paul of Jamestown; 3 grandchildren: Kyler Paul, Kaleb Paul and Kenley Marie Paul all of Jamestown; 3 sisters: Anna Marie Adams of Yucaipa, CA; Charlotte Houser of Charleston, WV; and Margaret "Peggy" (Walter) Kidd of Xenia; sister-in-law: Marilyn Morrow Schomburg of West Portsmouth; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by his daughter: Kimberly Hilliard; and 3 sisters: Wanda Hilliard; Vaughdene Hall and Patricia (Donald) Gifford. A Visitation for friends and family will be held 4-6 PM Thursday , April 17, 2014 at McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc., 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Additional services will be held Ralph F.
