XENIA — Kenneth W. Muterspaw, 85, of Xenia, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014, at his residence. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. He attended Memorial United Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Xenia Elks Lodge, #668. He retired from General Motors. He was born April 15, 1929, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of Ernest J. and Hazel Mason Muterspaw, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Foley) Muterspaw, whom he married, August 5, 1954, two daughters and a son-in-law, Nancy B. (Glenn E.) Hiney and Leslie Muterspaw, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Matthew D. Muterspaw and David K. (Terri) Muterspaw, all of Xenia, six grandchildren, Tara (Chris) Jones, Ashley Hiney, Josh Hiney, Natalie (Joe) Kriss, Kelly Muterspaw, and Katie Muterspaw, a great-granddaughter, Keighley Jones, a sister, Doris (Joe) Wheeler, Xenia, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, by two brothers, Ernest J. Muterspaw, Jr., and P. Neal Muterspaw. The family would especially like to thank the staff of Greene Memorial Hospital and Hospice of Dayton for their care during this difficult time. Ken will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial services will be held at 11am, Thursday, May 22, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., with Rev. Brian Maguire officiating.
