JAMESTOWN — Tom Kepler of Jamestown, Ohio passed away peacefully on June 9th, 2014 to be with the Lord. Tom was born July 19, 1942 to Sena (Lyons) and Losey Kepler in Bowersville, Ohio. Tom was among the last graduating class of Jefferson School Bowersville, Ohio. Tom spent his early years farming and installing farm drainage tile and moved on to become the founder of an excavating and sanitation business. Tom was a long standing member of the Eagle's Lodge Aerie 1689 where he served as two term president 1984-85, 14 yrs. Secretary, 3 yrs. as Trial Committee Alternate 2011-13, District Treasurer, Secretary, Vice Chairman and Chairman to become Deputy State President. Tom also served as Zone Coordinator, Central Zone Vice President to become State Zone Vice President. Along with family and friends, Tom enjoyed gardening, cooking, storytelling, watching high school and college basketball not to mention Cincinnati Reds baseball. Tom was preceded in death by his father Losey, brother Sam, and a daughter Beth. Tom is survived by his wife, Joanne, beloved mother Sena, children Todd Kepler (Dirk Kreutzer), Shelly (Randy) Heim and Christopher (Luisa) Kepler along with Pam Carr, Kim (Dave) Phares. Grandchildren Maria (Andrew) Harris, Elizabeth, Genevieve, Michael Kepler, Emily (Everardo) Ascencio, Nicholas Heim, and Rafael Kepler, Natalynne (Blaze) Baker, Jason and Bradley Phares. Great grandchildren include Yolanda and Lucas Ascencio, Malayna Suther and Aiden Baker. A viewing will be held Monday June 16, 2014 from 5:00PM until 8:00 PM at the McColaugh Funeral Home Inc. 826 N Detroit St. Xenia, Ohio 45385. Funeral services begin Tuesday June17, 2014 10:00 AM at the McColaugh Funeral Home Inc. . Tom will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery Bowersville, Ohio.
