XENIA — Perry G. Pittroff, age 69, of Xenia, joined his Heavenly Father as he peacefully passed away Monday, August 4, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born March 18, 1945, in Cincinnati, OH, the son of Jack C. and Elaine (Loewenstine) Pittroff. He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law: James Boyd Sr.and brother-in-law: Bruce Boyd. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Karen (Boyd) Pittroff, whom he married July 4, 1992; son: Gregory Scot (Nicky) Pittroff of Miamisburg; step-children: Shane (Kate) Andrews of Deer Park, OH and Leigh Andrews of Xenia; siblings: Jay (Chelle) Pittroff of Dublin, OH and Janet Pittroff of Milford, OH; 10 grandchildren: Grant, Abigail, and Alison Pittroff, Hunter, Trevor, Conor and Cole Andrews and Alexis, Jewel, and Aleigha Cokes; Mother-in-law, Constance "Connie" Boyd of Xenia, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Darrel and Becki Blackburn of Xenia, James and Marti Boyd, South Bend, Indiana as well as numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. He proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam conflict. He graduated from Milford High School and attended Middletown Business School. Perry's professional career consisted of being in the automobile business for many years. He loved sports, especially baseball and was an avid Cincinnati Reds Fan. He was a member of the American Legion Post 450 and member of the Board of the Grand Oak Estates. Funeral service 11:30 AM Thursday, August 7, 2014 at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with Pastor Jim Smith officiating. Interment to follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Thursday from 10 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave.
