XENIA Walter S. McGee, 92, of Xenia, Ohio went to be with the Lord, on January 2, 2013.
He was born in Berryburg, WV, June 8, 1920. Walter received a Master in Special Education from Central State University and worked as an educator for Xenia City and Dayton Public School system for 55 years. He was a World War II veteran and active in the community. He was united in marriage to Shirley McGee for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; son Walter S. (Nicol) McGee II of Milwaukee; grandchildren Michael McGee and Sydney McGee; sister Margaret (Robert) Kline, brothers Fred (Cornell) McGee and Edward (Wilma) McGee, Spanish McGee Jr and Penie ( Eugene ) Young; six step children and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by brothers James, Claude and Ralph McGee and sisters Ruby and Sylvia McGee. Memorial service will be held at First Assembly of God 204 E. Market St, Xenia on January 12, 2013 at 1 pm. Reverend Ron Swiger and Reverend Samuel Miller will officiate the memorial service. Interment will take place at National Cemetery, Dayton Ohio with full military honors at a later date. Online condolences can be made at www.mccolaughfuneralhome.com.

I will miss Walter setting in the back of the church faithfully. Always with a smile and his hand outstretched giving me greetings and blessings which I appreciated so much. May the Lord be with you in your time of sorrow.
