WAYNESVILLE James A. Jones, 83, of Waynesville, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013, at his residence. He was born May 9, 1929, in Waynesville, Ohio, on the family farm, the son of Roy and Ethel Curry Jones. He was a 1947 graduate of Spring Valley High School, a member of New Burlington Friends Church, and a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of the Greene County Pork Producer's, the Greene County Farm Bureau Council, and was a lifetime Warren County farmer. He was on the Buckeye Countrymark board and the Clinton Mutual Insurance board. He was a past 4-H Advisor with the T-Birds Club, and was a member of the "Card Club". He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce (Kent) Dean, Wilmington, a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel K. (Cheryl) Jones, Waynesville, six grandchildren, Kelly Jones, Julie (Jared) Baudendistel, Lisa Jones( Mike Marinelli), Kristin (Joey) Ahrmann, Sherri Dean (fiancée, Nathan Cline), and Cindy Dean, four great-grandchildren, Makayli and Myleigh Marinelli, and Jeb and Jase Baudendistel, a sister, Mary McClelland, Xenia, a former sister-in-law, Mary (Jones) Pickering, Xenia, several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jean Louise Jones, on December 15, 1999, a son, Michael Allen Jones, and by a brother, Donald C. Jones. Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 10am, Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Pastor Steve Collett officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-9pm Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
