SPRING VALLEY Harold K. Simison, 89, of Spring Valley, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born December 25, 1923, in Spring Valley, Ohio, the son of Ormond K. and Marie Hollingshead Simison. He was a member of Faith Community United Methodist Church, a 17 year volunteer of the Spring Valley Township Fire Department, and was formerly on the Zoning Board of Appeals, Spring Valley Township, for 40 years. He was a lifelong Greene County farmer. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Donovan) Heller Simison, whom he married, May 3, 2005, a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey (Cyndi) Heller, Xenia, a step-daughter, Diana (Dale) Henry, Xenia, a granddaughter, Emily Heller, six step-grandchildren, Paul (Missy) Pitzer, Amy (John) Babb, Dan (Angie) Henry, Eric (Melissa) Henry, Becky (Nick) Wiselogel, and Jason (Jocelyn) Burrowes, 14 step-great-grandchildren, four step-great-great-grandchildren, a sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn (Robert) Roseler, Wooster, a brother, Lawrence W. Simison, Hamilton, by several nieces and nephews, and by many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, by a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Eldon "Windy" Winder, and by a sister-in-law, Mary Simison. Harold will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 10:30am, Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Faith Community United Methodist Church, 100 Country Club Drive, Xenia, with Rev. Brad Olson officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Wednesday, at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
