KETTERING Marilyn M. "Bunny" MacPherson, age 78, of Kettering, Ohio passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013, at Kettering Medical Center. She was born March 6, 1935, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Harold and Mary I. Campbell Louthan.
Bunny grew up in the Ohio Soldiers and Sailors Orphans Home in Xenia. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, MA and Second Church of Christ, Scientist in Dayton. She had been a Christian Science Nurse and secretary at the Masonic Temple, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton offices. She enjoyed "creative" cooking; camping and visiting Hocking Hills. Bunny was also an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. She had a big heart and a great sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her father: Harold Louthan, mother: Mary I. Conner; husband, Donald MacPherson; a sister: Patricia Kester; sister-in-law: Heather Zimmerman and brother-in-law: David MacPherson.
She is survived by her children: Gregory (Deborah) MacPherson; Jess MacPherson; James (Mary) MacPherson; Bonnie MacPherson and Donna Kodger; sister: Barbara Burnett; brothers: Jack R. (Barbara) Louthan and James Richard Louthan; sisters-in-law: Carol Jernee; Ardyth (Wil) Rutenschroer; as well as 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of her life will be held 7 PM Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc., 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
