HARMONY — Sheila Kay Bordeaux, 47, of Harmony, died as the result of an automobile accident on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2014. She was born Sept. 21, 1966, in Bladen County and was the daughter of Carolyn Barnette Novak and the late Tom Bordeaux. She was a veterinarian technician at Clemmons Animal Hospital and also worked as a waitress at C's Barbeque in Mocksville. She loved animals and loved spending time with her kids. She was a great mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Woodrow William Barnette; and paternal grandparents, Jim and Nellie Bordeaux. She is survived by two sons, Hunter James York and Tanner Gregory York, both of Yadkinville; her mother, Carolyn B. Novak of Harmony; two sisters, René (Billy) Reece of Harmony and Rhonda Elette Spangler of Mount Airy; two brothers, Jeff Bordeaux of Union Grove and Chris Bordeaux of Kernersville; her maternal grandmother, Iva Elette Barnette of Harmony; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial service celebrating Sheila's life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, in the Ernest Troutman Memorial Chapel at Reavis Funeral Home of Harmony. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Condolences may be sent to the family online at reavisfuneralhomeharmony.com.
