To the Chase family:
I am very sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of meeting Arthur in 1979 when he was running for school committee. His political views and personal beliefs made an impression on me, this was the start of a relationship that taught me many things. I still have a beautiful watch that Arthur presented to me on the eve of winning his Senatorial Election. I had the honor of being Arthur's campaign manager during his school committee, city council and senatorial campaigns. Both Arthur and Wynne were kind, caring, and compassionate people. Many times in my life I have reflected back and will always be grateful for meeting and knowing such wonderful people. My sincere and deepest condolences go out to Arthur's family and friends, you will be missed!

Nick and I are so sorry to learn of Arthur's death. I am in shock, knew he was very ill but kept hoping he would continue to survive. He was an example of the best kind of politician and a great human being. Although we were not related, I always felt he and I were somehow related in spirit if not in actual blood. We worked on his campaigns, knew both his wives and some of his children, went to the dedication at the Math/Science Academy, visited him over the last few months, and truly loved and respected him.
