Mr. C. was one of my favorite teachers in high school. Although he did not put up with any monkey business, he had that twinkle in his eye that showed you how much he appreciated you and your efforts. My deepest sympathies to his entire family.

My sympathy to the entire family. Mr. Campanella was my accordion teacher in my early years around 1950. He had a lot of patience with me. I wasn't a very good student. He tried very hard. Our paths crossed again when I was a junior and senior(1958-1960) at Dallastown High. If he remembered me he never acknowledged it. The accordion was gone by that time. I remember he was well liked at DHS.

Joe was a wonderful neighbor and friend to us when we were first married. Joe and Jane always made us smile and showed us what kind of married couple we wanted to be one day. Thank you Joe and Jane for your friendship.

Very proud to call this Great man my Great Uncle. Uncle Joe was always the highlight of family gatherings. Constantly smiling & laughing, making everyone around him do the same. Very fond memories of that smile growing up, or maybe it was the quarter he gave me every time I saw him. Either way, he was a staple in the Campanella family, and an all around amazing man who will be truly missed. I only hope I can leave that kind of impression someday. All our love & sympathy to the family.

Greetings from Vermont, North Carolina and Germany. We are all feeling sadder today with this news. Somewhere in the mess of my house in a drawer, probably, I have a great picture on Joe, Janie, Millie and Bob dressed to the nines sitting at a table. Mom told me that it was from a conserve formal! You guys all look great. It is a fantastic picture.

Dear Campanella Family.....
Many THANKS for sharing your father and husband with all of us who were his students, community members, Brothers and friends.
Mr. C came into my life about 1954 when I was in the 7th grade in the Dallastown school district. Through my school years, he touched my life in a positive manner several times. As an adult, I became a fellow Brother, and Joe was always there with positive advice. I regarded this man as a close relative.
Through the the years, the Class of 1959 would always invite Mr. C to attend our reunions where we enjoyed his fellowship and humor. As a class, we loved and respected this man.
I send my thoughts and prayers in your direction, and I shall always cherish the times I spent with Mr. C.
