So Sorry to see Barry's passing. Haven't seen him in years but thought about those high school days and football and baseball at Dallastown. Also had an opportunity to play football against him briefly in college. My condolences to the entire family. Earl Howett (Columbus, OH)

I had the pleasure of meeting Barry 2 years ago when we moved in across the street from him. My daughters & I got to know him much better in the past few months. I will miss his stories of when he was younger and the way his eyes would light up while he was telling them. He will be greatly missed.

I lost touch with Barry Hengst fifty- one years ago at Dallastown High School. However, I will forever be a fan. You see, I was one of the hundreds of sixth grade sports star "wannabees" that benefited for life from the examples of sportsmanship and character that Barry displayed to we underclassmen. Barry Hengst character, along with his memory, will live on forever in the hearts of all of us that had the pleasure of sharing that short period of his life.
