She worked as a secretary for Associated Wholesalers, Danskin, and Susquehanna Pfaltzgraff, and retired in 2004. She was a longtime member of St. Paul Wolf's E.C.C. Church in West Manchester Township, where she was active in the Bell choir. She enjoyed baking, reading, and gardening, but cherished the time she spent with her husband and family. She is also survived by her brother, Earl Kline and his wife, Joan of York; her sisters, Joyce Tomes and her husband, Nelson of Red Lion, and Julia Shaull and her husband, Kenneth of Red Lion; and her nieces and nephews. A funeral service in celebration of her life will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Wolf's E.C.C., 4501 Wolf's Church Road, York, with Pastor Matthew Stillman officiating. She will be laid to rest following the service at St. Paul Wolf's Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church. Hilda was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She always was cheerful when I was around her and she cared deeply for Wolf's Church. I consider her, Paul and Brad great friends. She's in a beautiful place now and some day we will join her.
