Snellbaker, Kimberly A.  
YORK Kimberly A. (Collier) Snellbaker, 48, died Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at her residence in W. Manchester Twp. She was the wife of 28 years to Jeffrey N. Snellbaker and loving mother of three boys, Zachary N., Nicholas J. and Brock H. Snellbaker all of York. Born June 5, 1966 in York, she was the daughter of James R. Collier of York and Donna K. (Smith) Reed of Dover. A Celebration of Life Service will be 1 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2015 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 839 W. Market St., York, with the Rev. Kevin T. Shively officiating. A viewing will be held from 11 to 1 p.m., Friday at the church. Burial will be held in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York, is in charge of arrangements. A graduate of West York High School Class of 1984, she owned and operated her own home cleaning and dog walking service in the York area. She enjoyed family trips to Bethany Beach and adored her pets, which included chocolate labs and cats. In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by one brother, Judd D. Collier and his wife, Michelle of York; her paternal grandmother, Flossie Gentzler; her uncle, Brad Stottlemyer; and three nieces, Alexendria, Gabrelle and Lainey. Snyder, Eloise I.  
HANOVER Eloise I. Snyder 86, entered into God's eternal care, Monday, March 23, 2015 at Wellspan Surgery and Rehabilitation Hospital in York. Born April 11, 1928 in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Guy F. and Esther V. (Rohrbaugh) Brodbeck. Eloise was the loving wife of Kenneth M. Snyder who died January 23, 1981. Eloise was a 1945 graduate of Codorus Township High School and a 1948 graduate of the York Hospital School of Nursing. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and the Golden Rule Sunday School Class. Mrs. Snyder retired in 1987 from the Hanover Hospital after 22 years of service. Eloise is survived by her daughter, Christine A. Lee and her husband, Harvey of Littlestown; her grandsons, Thomas and Padriac Lee both of Littlestown; and her sister, Janet C. Jamison of York. A graveside service celebrate Eloise's life will be held 11:30 a.m., Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Rest Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Peg Grzelkowski officiating. There will be no viewing. Spangler, L. Virginia  
MOUNT WOLF L. Virginia Spangler, 97, of East Manchester Township, died at 2:55 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 215 at The Haven at Springwood. She was the wife of the late Clark N. Spangler. Born January 29, 1918 in York, a daughter of the late Charles T. and Annie (Freed) Hevner, she was a member of Saint Mark's Lutheran Church and The Outdoor Country Club. Mrs. Spangler is survived by a daughter, Jane L. Baughman, and her husband, Dennis of Mount Wolf; a son, Michael C. Spangler of Doylestown; four grandchildren, Brandon Baughman, Brittney Baughman, Courtney Goche and Ryan Spangler; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Jane Merrifield; and a brother, Jack Hevner. She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Pamela Spangler; a brother, Charles Hevner; and a sister, Evelyn Hartman. MT. PISGAH Pauline M. Stitely, 91, died Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at Manor Care Health Services-North. She was the wife of the late F. Thomas Stitely. Pauline was born in Hellam on April 15, 1923, a daughter of the late Paul D. and Mabel A. (Sloat) Crumling. She was a 1941 graduate of Hellam High School. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Hellam where she was active with the Friendship Circle and volunteered in numerous functions. She also helped deliver Meals on Wheels. Pauline is survived by two daughters, Gail A. Bollinger and husband Gregory of Seven Valleys, Colleen M. Stuhre and husband Karl of Mt. Pisgah; four grandchildren, Eric Stuhre, Dustin Stuhre and wife Kirstie, Abigail Shoff and husband Allen, Brittany Mitzel and husband Michael; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Geraldine Snyder of Elizabethtown; a brother, Gleason Crumling of Hallam; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2015 at Trinity United Church of Christ, 200 E. Market St., Hellam, PA 17406, with her pastor, the Rev. I. Kelly Shifflet officiating. Taylor, Doris M.  
RED LION Doris M. (Deardorff) Taylor, 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Broadmore Assisted Living. She was the loving wife of the late Charles W. Taylor, Jr. Born September 14, 1928, in Dallastown, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Pauline (Briggs) Deardorff. Doris was the salutatorian of the Dallastown High School class of 1946. Mrs. Taylor worked as a payroll supervisor at Teledyne McKay until the closing of the York location. She continued to work as Day Care Assistant at Christ Lutheran Day Care Center, Dallastown and Wonder Years in York till her retirement at age 80. Mrs. Taylor is survived by her three sons and four daughters-in-law, Charles and Martha Taylor of Jacobus, Michael and Kathy Taylor of Red Lion, Stephen and Elizabeth Taylor of Middletown, DE, Julie Taylor of Dallastown; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Vernon Deardorff of York. In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Hess Hildebrand; a son, David E. Taylor; and a brother, Dale Deardorff. A service to celebrate the life of Doris will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 109 E. Main St. Dallastown, with Pastor Roger Mentzer officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, and then again on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York. YORKANNA Marie Arlene (Smith) Taylor, 63, died Monday, March 23, 2015, at her residence. She was the wife of Preston D. Taylor. Marie was born in York on October 11, 1951, daughter of the late Wayne and Carolyn (Crumling) Smith. A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the V.F.W. Post 7045, 341 Yorkanna Road. In addition to her husband, Marie is also survived by her stepmother, Ruth Smith; three children, Debra Jones and her husband, Dwayne of East Prospect, Bobbie Lowe of Mt. Wolf, and Joseph Cox, and his wife Laura of North Carolina; a stepson, Michael Taylor; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers; and five sisters. Van Pelt, Jack T.  
DALLASTOWN Jack T. Van Pelt, 88, died Monday, March 23, 2015, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Grace M. (Fuhrman) Van Pelt. Jack was born in Philadelphia on June 16, 1926, the son of the late Robert and Grace Sweeney. He was very proud of his service in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was especially proud of having served on the USS Frank E. Evans (DD754) in the South Pacific. Jack was a sales associate and terminal manager in the trucking industry for 61 years. Over the 61 years, he was employed at the following trucking firms: Motor Cargo, Consolidated Freightways, Goodway Transport, Ryder-PIE and Landis Freight. He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church, Stewartstown VFW Post 7046, Red Lion American Legion Post 543, Victory Athletic Association, and the USS Frank E. Evans Association. Jack was the president of the Traffic Club three times and served as a Little League coach. He was a 1948 graduate of William Penn Senior High School. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed traveling and especially spending holidays with his family. Jack is survived by a son, Jay Van Pelt and wife Shelly of York; a daughter, Cheryl Anderson and husband Bill of Hellam; a son-in-law, Carl McCleaf of Dover; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Timothy, Chris, Sara, Kari, Scott, Alex, Eric and Lauren; five-great grandchildren, Ty, Madison, Dorian, Theodore and Brock. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marcia McCleaf. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Advent Lutheran Church, 1775 E. Market St., York. Officiating will be his pastors, the Rev. David L. Ritterpusch and the Rev. Brenda M. Ritterpusch. Entombment will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Weigle, Anne E.  
NEW OXFORD Anne E. (Young) Weigle, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Cross Keys Village - The Brethren Home Community. She was the wife of Donald K. Weigle to whom she was married for 61 years. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015, at Providence Presbyterian Church, 1215 Church Rd., York, with the Reverend Andy Phillips officiating. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on August 12, 1929, in York, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Arlene (Hake) Young. Anne was a 1947 graduate of William Penn High School. She was a teacher for the York City School District. Anne also worked for the Literacy Council, the Atkins House and held Bible Study and taught reading to female inmates. Along with her husband, Donald, Anne is survived by two sons, John Weigle and his wife, Deb of Elizabeth, NJ and David Weigle and his wife, Kristin of York; two daughters, Katherine Dowling and her husband, Michael of Lewisberry and Rebecca Platts of Dover; five grandchildren, Joseph Platts, Daniel Platts, Jesse Platts Abby Dowling and Sarah Dowling; one great granddaughter, Madilyn Platts; and her brother in law, Robert Weigle and his wife, Mona of North Carolina. DOVER Elsie E. Wert, 80, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. Elsie is survived by her children, Linda Grim, William Wert and his wife, Donna, Beverly Freet and her husband, David, Robin McIntyre and her husband, Ray, John Wert, Veronica Laughman and her husband, Lester, Donald Wert and his wife, Maria, Andrew Wert and his wife, Wanda, Annette Sutton and her husband, Mike, and Steve Wert; 25 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
