Shirley M. Schmuck

WINDSOR Shirley M. (Erb) Schmuck, 71, passed away Monday, February 21, 2011, at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ronald W. Schmuck. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with Chaplain Larry Roscoe officiating. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Windsor Cemetery. Born June 1, 1939. in Uniontown, Md., a daughter of the late Mildred C. (Hess) and James Erb, Sr., she had worked at the former Lenhart's Furniture Store in her early adult years. Mrs. Schmuck was also a York Newspaper Carrier for 17 years in the Windsor and Lower Windsor area and along with her husband owned and operated Shirley Mae Crafts until her husband's death in 2001. She loved making crafts, gardening, cooking, and canning. Shirley was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Freysville. Mrs. Schmuck is survived by a daughter, Kathy A. and husband Ronald Daugherty of Windsor; a son, Christopher L. and wife Carole Schmuck of Red Lion; and four granddaughters, Crystle, Stephanie, Kayla, and Heather.
