Arlene R. Sweitzer

YORK Arlene R. Sweitzer, 88, of West Manchester Township, died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at her residence. She was the wife of James H. Sweitzer. Born July 14, 1924, in York New Salem, a daughter of the late Harry and Elsie (Rohrbaugh) Brodbeck, she was a homemaker, but had worked in a defense factory during WWII. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. In addition to her husband of 70 years, Mrs. Sweitzer is survived by two sons, Rodney J. Sweitzer and his wife, Bonnie of York, and Blaine E. Sweitzer and his wife, Deborah of Dover; a daughter, Cindy M. Conner and her husband, Michael of Landisville; seven grandchildren, Marcus Sweitzer, Angela Halterman, Matthew Sweitzer, Amanda Nolan, Mitchell Sweitzer, Ashley Conner, and Erin Conner; 10 great-grandchildren, Sara Sweitzer, Trevor Sweitzer, Ellie Sweitzer, Sydney Sweitzer, Carly Halterman, Zachary Halterman, Alexander Sweitzer, Kathlynn Sweitzer, Natalie Nolan, and Isabella Nolan; and a brother, LeRoy Brodbeck of Manchester. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Marlett Brodbeck. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, at Calvary United Methodist Church, 11 N. Richland Ave., York, with her Associate Pastor, The Rev. Roland E. Garvin, officiating. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. William E.
