Barry L. Williams

YORK Barry Lee Williams, 72, entered into the presence of God on Thursday, May 22, 2014, from the York Hospital with his family by his side. He was the husband of Randie (Plath) Williams, with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. He was born on March 2, 1942, in York, to the late Kathryn ( Landis) and Roger Williams. Barry served honorably in the United States Marines Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a grazier for Catepillar Tractor Co. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and all-around outdoorsman. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Randie; two sons, Charles Allen Plath and wife, June, and Barry Lee Williams, Jr., all of York; grandchildren, Jennifer Creep and husband, Daniel, Michelle Harbold and husband, Keith, Shannon Plath, Michael Loucks, Jr., Robert Loucks, Jr., and Samantha Loucks, all of York; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Teddy Williams, of Wyoming; and a sister, Lois Edwards of California. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Sharon Plath. Viewing will be Tuesday, May 27, 2014, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc., 822 E. Market St., York. The Celebration of Life Service will begin at 6 p.m. with full military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Pastor Jeff Wilt will be officiating.
