Blaine H. Ingram

YORK NEW SALEM Blaine H. Ingram, 84, died June 25, 2013, at his residence. He was the husband of Dorothy M. (Adams) Ingram. They were married for 61 years. Blaine was born on July 3, 1928, in York, a son of the late Blaine G. Ingram and Elsie (Falkler) Ingram Stambaugh. He had worked for Yorktowne Paper Mill for 16 years and then worked as a mechanic for the City of West Palm Beach, Florida for 15 years. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-1949 and 1950-1954. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served onboard the U.S.S. Philippine Sea, U.S.S. Kersarge, U.S.S. Monterey, and the U.S.S. Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He was a member of the Windy Hill Senior Center, VFW Post West York, Golden Agers of York New Salem, and attended Zion Bible Church. The service and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In addition to his wife, Blaine is also survived by three sons, Jeffrey B. Ingram of Logan, Ohio, Michael L. Ingram of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Steven R. Ingram of Thomasville; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Leroy Stambaugh, of York. He was preceded in death by a son, Scott B. Ingram. Arrangements entrusted to the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St.
