Clark V. Schrum

WINDSOR Clark V. Schrum, 85, entered life eternal Monday, February 11, 2013 from Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehablitation Center. He was the husband of the late Janet R. (King) Schrum. Born in York on April 15, 1927, Clark was the son of the late Jacob and Cora (Hilbert) Schrum. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII in the American Theater on USS Pc 489 and in the Pacific Theater on the USS LST 748. Clark was a member of VFW Post 2435, Columbia. He retired from Grinnell Corp. in Columbia in 1987. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave., York, with the Rev. Richard B. Starr officiating. Viewing will be one hour prior to service. Burial with full military rites presented by the York County Veterans Honor Guard will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery. Mr. Schrum is survived by two sons, Randy J. Schrum and wife, Debbie of Windsor and Steven Schrum and wife, Lynne of Red Lion; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by eight sisters and three brothers.
