MANCHESTER Clifton N. Thomson, 72, died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at his home. He was the husband of Joan M. (Nicholas) Thomson. A celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. at Good Shephard Lutheran Church, 2121 Roosevelt Ave., York, for those who wish to attend. The John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St., York, is assisting the family. Mr. Thomason was born November 19, 1940 in York, a son of the late Clifton M. and Beatrice H. (Stauffer) Thomson. He has been employed at Anaconda Wire Co., and later as a truck driver. He was a life member of the Viking AA. In addition to his wife, Clifton is survived by his children: Chris L. Thomson, Kelly L. Thomson, Lorrie A. Sappe, Karen J. Hartman and her husband Robert; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jack R. Thomson and Barry L. Thomson. He was preceded in death by a son, Tracy N. Thomson.
