Craig; my dear friend and hunting partner. This past weekend Oct 13 to 17, 2022 we held the annual "Ducks & Bucks" weekend at the Hermitage Cabin. Rob, Chris, Junior, his nephew Leo and my son Chris arrived on Oct. 13 on a cold and mostly rainy day. This next morning they were out for ducks at the "Muck" and bucks at Plantation trail.

When John Szwast and I arrived about 1:30 on Friday, Chris Junior was dressing out and hanging his deer, a nice doe on the cabin meat pole, My son Chris Senior and Leo were cooking 2 mallard duck breasts on the camp fire pit.

Before the group broke camp, Sunday afternoon, we had 2 more deer hanging, a nice doe by Leo and a big doe by your grandson Brady. My son Chris also shot a doe Friday night, but after a long search by the "Mighty Nanno" and the next morning with his brother Rob, they were unable to find it, Nevertheless, it was a wonderful camp "all-in-all" and we all we missed you very much and prayed for you at our main meal Sat. night of Shepard's pie.
Till me meet again ... pray for us.

Craig: You have been my best friend for so many years and we shared so many memories of times at camp and with our families. I can never express how much your friendship has meant to me and how dearly you will be missed. It breaks my heart to realize we will never again travel together to camp and share hunting experiences with the "Hermitage" hunting gang. Mary Ann and I can never thank you enough for all the help you gave us building the cabin and we will never forget the many times that you and Nancy spent time with us there. On every Sunday night before opening season of deer camp we will remember you in our prayers and fondly reminisce on the many wonderful times we all shared together. Farewell ,my dear friend, and may God bless you and keep you close to his heart.

Dear Nancy: In your great loss, always remember that Craig loved you so very much and you were always on his mind. You were his one and only true love. You were the one that brought true joy to his life,

Corey: Your father was very proud of you and spoke dearly of you. He knew someday that you would be a good husband and father. He was very grateful for all the help you gave your Mom and him. When I would ask him how you were doing, he would say "Corey is doing great!"

Jenny: Your Dad often told me what a wonderful mother you were and how proud he was of your work as a nurse helping others. As your father, he always had a special place in his heart for his "little girl".

Brady: Your Pappy asked me to tell you how much he loves you and that he will always be there in your heart when you need to talk to him.
He was looking forward to hunting with you when you were 12 and sharing special times together at the cabin. He will be there for you now and always .

Haley: Your Pappy loves you very much and you will always be on his mind. You brought so much love and joy to him. He was looking forward to seeing you start school and seeing you grow up and become a young lady.

Frankly Craig ... I'm at a lost for words. All the years bowling, all the drinks and laughs we shared. I'm glad we started getting together earlier this year once a month with the gang at Smokey Bone's ... I'm gonna miss your friendship my friend ... Rest in peace. Caz
