Dale L. Spahr

HALIFAX Dale L. Spahr, 76, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at the Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill. Dale was born in East Berlin, the son of the late Harry and Annie Spangler Spahr. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a retired building mechanic from Verizon. Dale was a member of the NRA, IAA, and a former firefighter for Monagone Twp. Fire Dept. Surviving are his his wife of 34 years, Eva M. Evans Clark Spahr; his six children, Eva Clark Troup (John) of Harrisburg, Sarah Clark MacMillan (William) of Stewartstown, Karen Clark of Newport, William Clark, II (Diana) of Duncannon, Cynthia Clark Fornwalt (Charles) of Halifax, and Yvonne Clark Urquhart (Jerry) of Camp Hill; a sister, Esther Darr of Dillsburg; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Murray. There will be a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, February 24, 2014. at the Hoover-Boyer Funeral Home in Millersburg. Services will begin at 11 a.m. with burial and military honors to follow at Longs Cemetery in Halifax.
