David C. Jefferson

YORK David Carl Jefferson fondly known as DJ, 62, entered into rest on Sunday, January 20, 2013, at York Hospital. He was the loving husband of Barbara J. (Dickson) Jefferson for 34 years. David was born in York, on September 26, 1950, to the late Russell and Mary M. (Murray) Jefferson, Sr. David was educated through York Catholic & graduated from William Penn Sr. High School; was a Veteran of the United States Army and a retiree from Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Co. David was a member of Wheatfield Church of the Living God. He leaves to cherish his memory, but mourn his loss, his loving wife, Barb; three daughters, Aquiana Ferguson, Ykeytta Jefferson and Yalonda Jones; two brothers, Russell Jefferson, Jr. and Alan Brenner; five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a daughter, Tiffany L. Jefferson and a grandson, Xavier Jefferson-Collier. A viewing will be held Friday at Fairview Full Gospel Missionary Baptist Church, 465 S. Pine St., York, PA 17401 from 9 to 11 a.m. and a Celebration of Life Service following at 11 a.m. with his pastor, Rev. Dr. Ramona Kinard, officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York. In lieu of Flowers donations can be sent to Wheatfield CLG, 341 Wheatfield St., York, PA 17403.
