David W. Miller

YORK David W. Miller, 53, entered into rest after a brief illness at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was born on April 5, 1959, in Baltimore, Md., son of the late Kenneth W., Sr. and Adele L. (Watts) Miller. David worked as a welder at York Sheet Metal and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Surviving are two brothers, Stephen W. Miller and wife, Pat of Stewartstown, and Kenneth W. Miller, Jr. of York; one sister, Janet L. Bowman and husband, Frank of Bel Air, Md.; one nephew, Kenneth W. Miller, III of South Dakota; and one niece, Kelsey R. Miller of Harrisburg. There will be no viewing. Cremation will take place with Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Family and friends are invited to extend their condolences on Tuesday, November 20, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial service to celebrate David's life will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with full military rites. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to York Health Foundation, Cancer Patient Help Fund, 912 S. George St., York, PA 17403. David was a wonderful brother who loved nature, taking care of his house, and music. He was a self taught musician who enjoyed playing the guitar and was a Ravens fan. He will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him.
