Edward A. Rehberger

Rehberger, Jr. NEW FREEDOM Edward A. Rehberger, Jr., 93, formerly of Baltimore, Md., died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Country Meadows of Leader Heights. He was the husband of the late Marie L. (Adams) Rehberger. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. from J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. A funeral service will follow military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard at 7 p.m. with Masonic Rites by Jephthah Lodge 222 AF&AM at 6:45 p.m. Rev. Michelle L. Whitlock will officiate. Born September 10, 1919 in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of the late Edward A. and Bessie I. (Haslup) Rehberger, Sr. Edward resided in Baltimore, Md. moving to New Freedom in 1986. He retired from Bethlehem Steel in 1981 following 34 years as an accountant. Edward was a World War II veteran with the U.S. Army. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, New Freedom,a 66 year Mason with Jephthah Lodge 222 AF&AM, Baltimore, and the New Freedom LIONS Club. Edward was an avid golfer and gardner. Edward leaves two daughters, Judith Ann Hahn Wilson and her husband Robert of Lakeland, Fla., and Gail L. Clark and her husband Kevin of New Freedom; six grandchldren, Michael Hahn, Robert Wilson, Elizabeth Dees, Brian Clark, Kevin Clark and Jason Clark; and six great-grandchildren, Casey Dees, Douglas Dees, Brianna Hahn, Caitlyn Clark, Max Clark and Tasha Clark.
