Elizabeth M. "Betty" Mummert

Mummert DOVER Elizabeth M. "Betty" Mummert, 91, entered into rest at 8:25 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2013, at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ray K. Mummert. Born January 24, 1922, in Thomasville, she was a daughter of the late George and Grace (Stevens) Brillhart. Betty worked as an assembler for Stanley Tools of York and previously as a presser for Jayson's Shirt Factory. She was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, York, where she belonged to the Golden Age of Faith Group. Betty was also a member of the Heritage Senior Center in Dover and Shiloh American Legion Post 791 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed Bingo, crafts, and sewing. Betty is survived by four daughters, Joyce C. Kuhn and husband, John of Gettysburg, Deborah A. Reed and husband, Charles of Dover, and Tonya S. Gotwalt and husband, Barry, and Tina L. Gross and husband, Terry, all of York; two sons, Gregory A. Mummert and wife, Donna, and Clifford S. Mummert and wife, Tracy, all of Dover; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard G. Mummert, and a brother, Warren Brillhart. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Betty's funeral at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2013, with viewings from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Emig Funeral Home, 47 N. Queen St., Dover. Burial will follow in Salem Union Cemetery in Dover. Officiating will be her pastor, the Rev. Dr. Ron J. Oelrich.
