YORK Erma (Marguerite) Cottrel Schaale passed away February 6, 2013, at Normandie Ridge, York. She was the wife of Robert G. Schaale and the late Paul W. Runk. Mrs. Shaale was the daughter of the late Thomas and Erma (Wellenseik) Cottrel and step daughter of the late Katherine Cottrel. Marguerite was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, York. She was involved with Jobs Daughters, where she served as Past Honor Queen and Past Grand Guardian of PA and a member of The Eastern Star and Order of the Amaranth where she served as Past Worthy Matron. Survivors include two sons, Robert W. Runk and his wife, Christine of York, and Randall C. Runk and his wife, Catherine of California. In addition, she is survived by three stepchildren, Gregory L. Schaale and his wife, Janet of Virginia, Jon R. Schaale and his wife, Karen of Dover, and Tammie E. Schaale and companion, Kim Krout of Mt. Wolf; three grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, and 10 step great-grandchildren; one sister, Catherine (Bee) Benjaminson of Virginia. Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday at Calvary United Methodist Church, 11 N. Richland Ave., York. A visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Eastern Star Service a will begin immediately following the visitation. Officiating her services will be the Rev. Dr. Michael H. Koplitz. Burial will be private in Prospect Hill Cemetery, York. At the families request, memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity. Arrangements were entrusted to the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home, Inc., York.

Bob,John,Greg,&Tam, You have my deepest sympathy. I use to clean your house when you lived on Sunset Lane. I never forgot your loving kindness and Charmane. May GOD be with you all through your sorrows. Look to GOD for strength.

Marguerite was a wonderful lady that I had a high regards and uttermost respect for. She will be sadly missed. My sympathies to Bob and the rest of the family. A Job's Daughter has gone to the Bethel on High.
