Frances E. Sprenkle

YORK Frances E. (Bubb) Sprenkle, 89, died Friday, January 4, 2013, at Normandie Ridge. She was the wife of the late John H. Sprenkle, Jr. Born on July 3, 1923, in Dauphin County, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Ada M. (Hauser) Bubb. She was a homemaker and attended Yorkshire United Methodist Church. She is survived by three sons, Walter Stare of Red Lion, Wade Stare of Strinestown, and Wilmer Stare of Texas; three stepchildren, Bonnie Bailey of York, Carol Schlosser of Swanton, Ohio, and John H. Sprenkle of York; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a brother, Clair Bubb of Lake Placid, N.Y. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jay Kirchner and Keith Kirchner; and brothers and sister, Elmer Beakler, Marlin Bubb, Marvin Bubb, Leroy Bubb, and Ruth Betz. A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday at the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 902 Mt. Rose Ave., York, followed by a 2 p.m. service at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis A. Hummel officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the , 924-N Colonial Ave., York, PA 17403.
