Geraldine M. "Geri" Winters

Winters WINDSOR Geraldine M. "Geri" Winters died on Monday, December 31, 2012 at her residence after a long bout with dementia. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Gene E. Winters. Born on June 8, 1933 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence F. and Adeline Brooks Singleton. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Vicki L. Smith of Columbia; two sons, James F. Pfeiffer of Lancaster and Brian E. Pfeiffer of Windsor; a stepdaughter, Deborah A. Smith of Lancaster; a sister, Loretta Redman of Millersville; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Robert L. Pfeiffer, Jr.; a stepson, Duane G. Winters and a brother, Lawrence F. Singleton. Geri was a member of Mt. Pisgah Trinity United Methodist Church, York, Life Member and Past Matron of Columbia Chapter #366 Order of the Eastern Star where she served as Secretary for 12 years and was Past Watchman of Shepherds White Shrine of Jerusalem. Geri worked in Office Management for K-Mart in Lancaster, Dulling Optical and Agway Chemical both in York. She was co-owner of the Maple Crest Inn, Columbia, from February 1985 to February 1995. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and tending to her flower gardens. Funeral services for Geri will be held from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut St., Columbia, on Friday at 11 a.m. with a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. The Rev. Bradley Gilbert will be officiating. Order of the Eastern Star Services will be conducted by Columbia Chapter #366. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery York. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Geri's memory to the , 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
