Gloria F. Doxzen

YORK Gloria F. Doxzen, 67, died Saturday, September 7, 2013, at York Hospital. She was the wife of Wayne T. Doxzen. There will be a viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the mortuary, with Elders Steven Fodor and John Napp officiating. Burial will be in Bowser's Cemetery, New Freedom. She was born January 22, 1946, in York, a daughter of the late Wilson and Mary (Boyer) Measley. Gloria was a member of New Freedom Church of the Brethren. She retired from CSI Services, Emigsville in 2008 after 18 years of service. She loved her family and enjoyed crocheting and traveling with her husband throughout most of the United States and Europe. On September 16th they would have celebrated 47 years of marriage. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Lisa Hohenadel and her companion, John Culp of York and Lori Heiland and her husband, Wayne of York; one son, Jeffrey W. Doxzen and his companion, Lori Lehman of Windsor; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Karen McKinsey of York and Robin Flinchbaugh of Seven Valleys; and one brother, Ed Measley. She was predeceased by an infant son, Todd Kashner; and a sister, Connie Carter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the , 924-N Colonial Ave., York, Pa. 17403.
