Gloria M. Blessing

YORK Gloria May (Conaway) Blessing, 84, formerly of Red Lion, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at York Hospital. She was the wife of Herbert Paul Blessing for 66 years. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2012. Mrs. Blessing was born July 23, 1928 in York, the daughter of the late Albert and Hettie Conaway. Mrs. Blessing is survived by a daughter, Cheryl D. Blessing of Dallastown; a son, Timothy P. Blessing and his wife, Mary, of York; granddaughters, Mandi Davis and her husband, Rich Davis, Jr., Ashley Blessing, and Chelsie Hare and her husband, Charlie; and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Blessing was a homemaker, farmer, and maker of crafts. Along with her husband, they were the owners of Star Truck Farm. She was a member of Chapel Church, where she had taught Sunday School and was superintendent of the children's department. She was also a charter member of ReCreation FORCES. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Blessing will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc, 104 W. Main St., Dallastown, with Rev. Dr. John Goddisart officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will follow in Heiland View Cemetery.
