Jack W. Peeling

YORK Jack William Peeling, 90 died at his residence on Friday, November 16, 2012. He was the husband of the late Dorothy B. (Shipley) Peeling. Born January 20, 1922, in York, he was the son of the late Horace and Bessie (Linebaugh) Peeling. Jack retired as the General Sales Manager from Fulton, Mehring and Hauser Company in York. He was a 1940 graduate of North York High School and a U.S.M.C. veteran of WWII. Jack was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church, Zeredatha Lodge #451 F. & A.M., York Forest #30 Tall Cedars of Lebanon and Zembo Temple. He was an avid golfer. He is survived by two sons, Jeffrey W. Peeling and his wife, Barbara of Wrightsville, and Mark A. Peeling and his wife, Melissa of Dover; and four grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Messiah United Methodist Church, 1300 N. Beaver St., York, with his pastor, the Rev. W. Michael Langford, officiating. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery with a flag folding ceremony by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. A Masonic Service will be held at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church by Zeredatha Lodge. Memorial contributions may be made to Messiah United Methodist Church, 1300 N.
