Jerry L. Eady Sr.

YORK Jerry L. Eady, Sr., 58, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 2, 2013. He was the husband of Marcella (Carr) Eady. He was born to the late Benjamin Adams and Jimmie L. Eady on July 25, 1954, in York. Jerry was a William Penn Senior High School graduate of 1973 and ventured into the world pursuing careers such as insurance sales, machine operation, and law enforcement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Jerry is survived by his wife of 23 years, Marcella (Carr) Eady; children, Jerry, Nicole, Damira, and Dominique Eady; and a stepdaughter, Denise Murray. He also leaves behind four grandchildren; as well as sisters, Lorraine (Eady) Simpson and Clara Diane Eady. Jerry had an extreme love for athletics. From running track, martial arts, and weight lifting, he did it all. With his natural comedic abilities, there was never a dull moment in his presence. With open arms and a warm heart he always welcomed and never shunned anyone. So now, we welcome you to join us in celebrating the life of Mr. Jerry L. Eady, Sr. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, April 8, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Emmanuel COGIC, 825 E. Princess St., York 17403 with the pastor, Elder Leighton McMillan, officiating. A viewing will be prior to services from 9 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, York, with full military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
