Jessica L. Bennett

WINDSOR Jessica Lynn Bennett, 22, was ushered to heaven by the Lord's angels on Saturday, October 20, 2012, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Perry County. She was the fiancee of Rustee Furst. Born on February 13, 1990, in York, she was the daughter of Dawn M. (Bennett) Werts and Joseph E. Werts. Jess, as she was fondly known, graduated from Hempfield High School. Jess honorably served her country in the U.S. Navy. She was employed as a cashier for the Sheetz Store in Thomasville and attended the Family Worship Center in Red Lion. Jess loved to read. She was an excellent mother to her two sons, her presence will be deeply missed by family and friends. Jessica leaves to cherish her memory, her fiance, Rustee Furst of Windsor; two sons, Micheal Bennett and Alaric Furst, both at home; a mother, Dawn (Bennett) Werts and companion, Brian Altland of York; a father, Joseph E. Werts; a brother, Dylan Werts of MCAS,New River, N.C.; two sisters, Shannon Stienbaugh of Chambersburg and Renea Werts of Texas; maternal grandmother, Linda Bennett of Lewisberry; a maternal great-grandmother, Josephine Sullivan, of York; a close cousin,Jodi Bupp of Dover; a mother-in-law to be, Amy Furst and companion Mary Spangle of Windsor; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Alan Bennett, paternal grandparents, Joseph L. and Gloria G. Werts. She passed with her best friend, Jasmine Burns in the accident. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Family Worship Center, 865 W. Broadway, Red Lion. The Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church with a viewing one hour prior. Pastor Bernie Seigman, her uncle, will be officiating. Interment will follow in Starview Union Cemetery. In honor of Jess, casual attire is encouraged. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to the individual trust funds set up for her sons, Micheal Bennett and Alaric Furst at Members 1st Federal Credit Union, 5000 Louise Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
